Alex is passionate about bringing creative and technical ideas to a broad range of design challenges. After graduating from the Carleton University School of Industrial Design with high distinction, he has worked in multi-disciplinary design and architecture offices in Quebec City and Vancouver. Since establishing Form3 twenty years ago, he has completed many projects with market leaders in high technology, medical and alternative energy. Alex served as Vice President for the Canadian and BC Associations of Industrial Designers, and is a jury member for the BC Creative Achievement Awards for Applied art and design. He was a sessional instructor for several years at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business.

With a diverse background and over 25 years of experience in the field of design, Herb Bentz is able to provide a broad range of technical assistance and take on many challenges involving multidisciplinary efforts on long and complex projects. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Design from the Royal College of Art in London England. He is also a director of Fab-Form Industries Ltd., a company dedicated to replacing rigid concrete formwork with more environmentally friendly fabric forms. Prior to Form3, he was a senior industrial designer at Med-Ex Diagnostics of Canada, a manufacturer of medical and physiotherapy exercise equipment.
Brian is a Senior Designer at Form3 Design Inc and has consulted on numerous successful design projects for clients ranging from small entrepreneurs to large corporations. From modelling the smooth curves of an electric guitar, to allowing the proper clearances required inside an IP phone, Brian has the ability to consider the smallest of details while ensuring the big picture doesn’t get lost in the rush. When not at work Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Christine and their two girls Hollande and Anika.
At the age of 16, Robbie’s design career got a quick start when a sculpture he created got Robbie hired by a start-up manufacturer. His hard work, passion for form-giving, and desire to innovate helped launch the company to international status with over 300 products. Formalizing his career at The Emily Carr University of Art and Design led to a position at Form3 and the opportunity to engage in a full range of design experiences, from blue sky exploration to mechanical detailing. Robbie brings his enthusiasm for form, innovation, eco-design, and embracing new challenges to the Form3 team.
Since joining the Form3 team in 2005, Alex has contributed to diverse industrial and mechanical designs, from handheld electronics to automotive assemblies. He brings years of entrepreneurial business experience to every project he works on and believes unconventional approaches lead to success. Alex holds an industrial design degree from Emily Carr University of Art and Design where he also studied fine art. Outside of the office, he enjoys time in his home workshop and touring BC and Washington on his motorcycle.
Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Bristol (UK).
5 years of manufacturing experience, from solenoid valves to military vehicle service shelters.
Passionate about problem solving and creating elegant design solutions.
Main hobby is weightlifting and has competed in Strongman at an amateur level.
Marco studied industrial design at the Politecnico di Milano in Italy where he learned how to canalize his creativity into projects and products.
The family owned metalwork company has forged in Marco a solid pragmatism that mixed with a highly creative personality produce a very competent designer in problem solving and project development.
Working in Italy, New Zealand and Canada, Marco had the opportunity to work on projects such as a lightweight amphibian airplane, agricultural and herd managing projects, off-road vehicles, temporary architectures, VR headsets to name a few…
Eno is from Taiwan, where she got her BS Industrial design degree. After that, she got her MFA at School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She worked in Seattle, China, Taipei, Toronto, and Vancouver as industrial designer for the past 10 years, mostly on consumer electronics products. Her design project “convection” is the industrial design golden award of 2014 Taipei International Design Award , as well 2015 Red Dot Design Concept award. When not at work Eno enjoys the beautiful BC, photography, and making art works.
Mark holds an undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in Integrated Engineering with a focus on mechatronics. Always interested in the marriage of electronics and mechanics, Mark has a diverse background in robotics, wearable devices, energy storage, luminaire design, and mining instrumentation.
In his free time, Mark enjoys learning about software design and developing mobile phone apps. When not at the computer, he loves to adventure in the mountains and is an avid skier and mountain biker.
